OK, the new computer is set up and working, but not without the typical box mess that comes from putting together. The image below will show you some of the mess the living room was in due to large cardboard boxes holding small computer parts. (My graphics card box was about half a meter long!)

The old computer (the one with the busted caps) also got an upgrade and has now been donned “Hayley’s Poota”. The image below has been put in a ThermalTake X-View, which lights up on sound…

One of my favourite songs has lyrics that go like this..
I want to make, much of you Jesus.
I wanna make much of you Lord.
I wanna live today, to give you the praise that you are so worthy of.
I wanna make much of Your mercy.
I wanna make much of You cross.
I give you my life,
take it and let it be used to make much of You.
– Steven Curtis Chapman
This is such a fantastic song, Ohh, how I want to make much of Jesus, but ohh how hard it becomes when I am too consumed with myself. How can we get real and DO this ??
Just thought that I would comment because nobody else will.. this way I still have some sort of self-esteem maintenance.
Nice commenting idea, very good – I should try it on my blog too 🙂
Making much of Jesus…..I was reading again John Piper’s book “When I Don’t Desire God – How to Fight for Joy” – but got stuck at chapter one with that feeling of…..sheer frustration?
That I don’t want God as I should – and maybe there’s not a lot I can do about it.
That all my willpower isn’t enough??
But I always thought it was important…….even if you don’t feel like sitting down and doing your devotions, isn’t it still important that you do them, cos you know the importance of spending time with God?
Ah well.
I guess we can make much of Jesus by living for Him – we make much of whatever we live for, I think.
Living for Him = Understanding His love, loving Him, having a relationship with Him that gets stronger everyday…….then doing what He says.
I don’t know.
Someone else say something now.
Not desiring God… I wonder what it would be like if we Christians could see a small part of the big picture for our lives. I guess when I don’t desire to know anything more about God, I look back upon the times that I have really really been thirsting to know more about Him – most recently I’ve found that it’s come from not having a close experience with Him that I regain my thirst for Him. Planetshakers really helped me, mainly cos I had had a holiday – my physical body was refreshed, and some solid preaching (in amongst some … less than par stuff) helped me reconnect with God. Perhaps anyone out there feeling disconnected or wanting to want God more could try a holiday/retreat where you just go on your own somewhere and focus on rest & recuperation, and then come back and go hardcore with God stuff. I dunno, just a thought
Another thought – often you can make a big deal out of something (i.e. make much of it) by talking about it a lot.
Sometimes to the point where others get sick of you and tell you to shut up 😀 *No, that’s never happened to me :-p *
So, one way we can make much of Jesus: talk about Him.
that looks awesome
What looks awesome, the frog label “Hayley’s Poota” or the messy room???
that’s a third rate messy room… you need some empty pizza boxes floating around or something
