Hey there blog readers. How cool is the new poll?!! It is on DANCING????? Why is that you say… There is a reason…. You will see one day…
This week has been so stressful with 5 tests in 2 days and my head feels like it will explode. I don’t think I did very well but it doesn’t matter really because I tried my best (I know thats only what loosers say).
Something that I learnt at camp was;
That people that are Christians look like fools in the worlds eyes but to become smart you must first become a fool. For example if Geoff ran into a pole and it hurt then he might not do that again because he has now become wise. ?????
You might get called an idiot for believeing in God but who will be the true idiot when the time comes for them to face judgment.
“If anyone of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight.” 1 Corinthians 3:18-19
Hey Geoff, don’t try to run into poles… ok?
See ya
Proudly sponsered by “Mossimo’s melting moments”…mmm
Thats a great point you make Jonny, and one that was spoken about quite clearly on camp.
I guess in all things it is God’s opinion that counts. So it is God’s wisdom that is true. It’s not street smarts… How to make heaps of money… or even how to get the perfect spouse and have 3.2 children and a white picket fence… It IS some guy that died on a tree 2000 years ago to save us…
Ey, have you got any pics from nccyc or watever it was called to post up?
Yeah, good point mate, but I’m not sure that running into poles is the right way to put it? I mean, God’s wisdom is what counts, not the worlds. Geoff running into poles is plain stupid – and God thinks so too. 😉
Jokes, I don’t know what God thinks of running into poles, but if he wanted us to do it, wouldn’t alot more Christians be doing it?
hey geoff… could you somehow get your blog to preserve the formatting that people have in the add comment window?
maybe encase the comment in a pre tag or summin… not sure 🙂
I think we all need to run into poles a lot more.
In fact, I think that you’ll find in the book of Hezekiah, chapter three and verse five, it says “Woe unto you Israel!
For you do not runneth into poles as I have commanded.
Therefore, I am going to bringeth a jolly big plague upon thee.”
Soon I will be starting a running-into-poles homegroup.
Anyone may join 😉
*The above comment was an example of complete and utter idiocy, and I will not be held responsible for injuries that may occur due to people actually starting a running-into-poles group.*
Heresy, Hmm I like it. In fact I once read a book called ‘Will the real heretics stand up?’ It was actually about first cenetury apostolic fathers ie. Origin, Clement, and the like; not really about heretics after all but I liked the title.
