Today both my kids fell into the grumble bush. And then they fell in again and stayed there. All afternoon and night. In fact, its 10:15pm and bub is still there. Luckily B1 is sleeping, and will hopefully have found his way out by the morning 🙂
At one point this afternoon, when both my baby and toddler were screaming, I walked down the hallway and thought to myself “this is a moment when I would normally go and eat chocolate” (if I wasn’t trying to do a month without chocolate). It was one of those days!
At 4:50pm I seriously considered breaking the meal plan (yes, I know its Day 1) because I couldn’t stand to leave the kids screaming whilst I cooked dinner. Thankyou to you, my readers, for the accountability. At 5:10pm I enlisted the help of my wonderful husband who looked after the kids so I could throw the pre-cut meat into the pan, along with the sauce and pre-cut veges. If it hadn’t been that simple, I definitely wouldn’t have bothered.
But Day 1 is now done, and I escaped for an hour tonight (left a screaming B2 with hubby) to do the grocery shopping so I can do the rest of the week’s mealplan. Otherwise, it would have been over by Day3! Looking forward to trying the a new soup for Thursdays Dinner as part of Goal 37) Cook 5 new soup recipes.
Thanks again for all your comments and feedback, both verbal and on this blog and facebook!
