That day

When we are all standing before Jesus when he comes again in glory, we will be separated. Sheep and Goats. And the evidence this great judge will use against us is what we have done for him.

Hang on a minute. What we have done for him? He hasn’t been around in our lifetime, we haven’t seen him with any needs we could meet.

This all seems a bit unfair.. Perhaps we shoudl instruct the creater of the universe to think more carefully about his judging techniques and historical accuracy.

I do not suggest it. There will come a day where Jesus will look at what we have done for his brothers and sisters in this life. What we have done for them, will be counted as if we have done it for him.

This isn’t salvation by works, it is evidence of faith, which is what we are saved by.

Have a read and think about Matthew 25:31-46. Challenging, interesting and if we were to “get” it. Lifechanging?

Obama is a murderer?

Well when you put it like that Mr Piper, Obama looks like a murderer. Is he? Having the ability to pass laws that protect the lives of our little ones and passing or leaving laws that do the opposite certainly exposes him to being talked about in this way. Those of us in Australia need to be praying for our government too.

Some websites I have been working on

I bhave spent some time over the past few weeks working on some of my web projects. One of which is www.mapawproject.com . I spent some time validating the code of the site.

To do this I used the free online service located at validator.w3.org. Initially it found something in the order of 400 errors. I spent a few hours going through each error and fixing it, learning on my way the difference between XHTML 1.0 Strict and XHTML – Transitional, between XHTML and just HTML and many other things.

One of the main differences between what I had learnt in standard HTML compared with what I was learning about XHTML 1.0 is that most formatting is now to be done either with external CSS definitions or in the “style” attributes of various tags. Tags like < center > and < font >are now out and tags like < div > and < span >with style attributes containing formatting instructions will do the same things.

It takes a lot to keep up to date with these things. Kudos to all programmers out there who do.
