As already stated by my quick little bloggin bro, christmas is gone but the king is not. Jesus came and lived and died and rose and is still with us, so lets remember him all our days. Not just christmas day.

It turns out that for christmas my lovely wife actually did have an X-Box in the cupboard!!! She got a whole heap of people to chip in for me. Isnt she lovely!!! Now I can play X-Box to the glory of God. It sounds strange and there is definately a danger in sitting my butt down in a chair and dishonouring God by playing for too long, wasting the precious time he has given me on the earth. “I will have to watch and pray that I may not fall into temptation.” God made it possible for me to have a relaxation tool like the x-box, so I shall play to his glory. And use it to have fun with others too.

It was indeed great to see family over christmas. Lots of late nights up having fun, lots of relative visiting, lots of fun this christmas. Twas great!

I had better start thinking of some new years resolutions…hmm….

p.s. According to my Grandma the internet should be burned, and there is nothing but trouble in it.

Christmas is tommorow!! Just as well cause the bells have been jingled so much that have been broken, the partridge has flown out of the pair tree into rudolf’s nose and cause santa to crash his sled into a christmas tree which fell onto a number of presents! Very, very tragic….

What is a real tradgedy is that the little christmas gimicks other than Jesus, (as fun as they are for little kids n stuff) are almost limitless. Santa, Rudolf, Frosty the snowman, Jingling Bells, Elves, Magic, etc.. It goes on and on.

The christmas story, really is far from boring! It is a shame that christmas has gotten so faked up, instead of the great truths being proclaimed to be as amazing as the really are. Predictions from the past coming true, angels and heavenly host appearing, animals, a manger, people loosing thier ability to speak for periods of time.

The truth of God in the bible IS amazing. We should tell and think of it for what it is this christmas.

Lord, this christmas day we acknowledge and are so glad in you coming to earth. Thankyou for your sacrifice in becoming human like us, to save us. Thankyou for a truthful account of your scripture coming through to us 2000 years later. Help us to cherish the wonderful truths of your Word more and more, and in doing that, help the untruths of this world pass to insignificance. May your glorious light be shone on our lives this christmas. All glory belongs to you Lord.

How should I start this blog? Well I guess I just answered that question didn’t I?…

As previously stated. Christmas is coming up! Thankyou Jesus for becoming a man and fulfilling the role set for you as our precious savior.

My lovely wife was watching a christmas movie last night, and it was basically about Santa, and his proving to be real, I believe overhearing that the question was even brought up in court in the movie, with a lawyer asking for proof that santa didnt exist! In the end, the main suspect for santa is prooved to be real and there is a lovely bit of magic in the air. Isnt that nice… NOT!

With most of the world not even believing that Jesus is the son of God, the saviour of the world, the light to me, the glorious promised king and the mighty creator, hearing snippets of that movie which was meant to be able christmas was almost as bad as getting your arm hairs plucked out one by one at 1.23 minute intervals. I couldnt help but continually think, isn’t it a shame that the movie’s of christmas don’t set out to prove that christ is real, but rather set out to proove that santa is real.

Now I know that seems a bit harsh for a poor old chrissy flick that wasnt meant to be true anyway. But I just think it would be soo much better to help people understand the truth and reality of our stupendously amazing, perplexing, wonderful saviour and Lord, who entered the world on christmas day.

Well if the movies aint doing it then I guess its up to us…

Now, about the X-Box, Hayley IS getting me an X-Box, she has bought it and it IS in the cupboard, and I was looking for X-Box games FOR A GOOD REASON. I AM GETTING AND X-BOX FOR CHRISTMAS JONNY!!! I am not in denial!!! Dont make me cry..

The verse that Jonny has in his previous blog is very relevant to todays society. You can’t walk into a shopping centre without being bombarded with “BUY ME” signs! We as christians need to be on our guard against all sorts of ploy’s to get us to store up treasures on earth that wont last, that arent as enjoyable as lasting treasures in heaven. God brings great Joy in the here and now, as well as for all eternity. The Joy that God brings isn’t limited, it isn’t here one day gone the next. It isn’t a dusty old X-Box that sits in the cupboard after a few years of playing, now outdated by the latest gameing console.

To tell you the truth, the whole X-Box thing has been a real struggle for me. I would really like an X-Box. To relax at the end of the day in a fake car race or something like that would be nice. But I know that there are better things to spend my money on. I also know that God does give us earthly things that we are able to use and enjoy, such as X-Boxes, etc. There are alot of factors in whether I get an X-Box or not. I really want to do what God would have me do. One thing is for sure, when you take what you use your money for seriously, everything you get becomes more evidently a joy that comes from God. So I want to take what I use my(God’s) money for seriously, so that if I do get an X-Box, I will be X-Boxing to the glory of the one who gave it too me. Knowing that all good things and relaxing things, and things to talk about and play with friends comes from God.

Please Pray for me that I make the decision that God wants me too..
