Our computing helpdesk at the Eggins household has a delightful young man on it. The only thing he seems to say though is “dadadadadadadad……dadadadad…”.

I have spent some time researching the validity of me doing a little bit of forex (foriegn exchange) trading. The further I got into my research the more I realised that in order for it to be worth the time I would need a bigger investment than the amount I had in mind. Sure, I could sit there all day and do micro trades that get me 15 cents at a time. But in the end I decided not now. It is not good use of my time.
Being the first of many posts on this blog, I thought I had better clarify the reason for my blogging. There are many. Here are a few.
1. In order that I might be able to encourage other Christians, and “stir them up towards love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24 )
2. It will give me an opportunity to hone some of my thoughts down well enough to be able to express them clearly. Often times I can share opinions on matters that I have done nothing more than think about. Sometimes this can get me into trouble as careful thought hasn’t been done. By blogging I can practice sharing and developing my thoughts (particularly about the way that Christ Jesus wants us to live and act as 21st century Christians.
There is a new Jars of Clay album out called Good Monsters. As always with Jars of Clay, it’s a fantastic album. The Chorus of my favourite song (Dead Man) goes like this…
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
– Psalm 55:22
..who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Jesus Christ.
– 1 Corinthians 1:8
Our God loves and sustains us! Great news! Great news!
I have been reading / studying Galatians in recent times and I had a bit of a brain wave this morning as I was doing it. I was a very random brain wave. I thought, “Wouldnt it be cool to draw up a bit of a cartoon of Paul”. Very random indeed. The results of this neuron drizzle are below.
Well, I have been busy with work.
And sick. With a cold.
But, life is still life, it still has meaning and I am glad to have it.
Holidays soon!!!
Its all been happening in the world of bloggin bro’s. I am on “holidays”!!! “Yay!!!!!” I can hear you all delightfully screem from here. Hopefully I actually take the chance to take the rest and un-wind a bit.
Also, the comments on Bloggin Bro’s have been spammed. A few hundred extra comments were found hiding in archived blogs. The comments were mainly about online casino’s and other not so nice places to visit on the internet. So the level of security has gone up in the comments section just a tad.
Also, a search function has been added to bloggin bros. Try searching for “diverse” to get one of my favourite blogs coming up.
It doesnt stop there though!! We have also got the beginnings of a half decent apologetics question and answer section up on the site under the “Q & A” link in the blue menu bar.
A quote that came to mind today was this.
“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose”
Wise… very wise..
** Geoff Goes out to the letter box after Hayley has already collected the mail, and he doesnt know it **
Geoff: “Hmm, whats this??”
Red Rooster Brochure: “I am a brochure making fun of you!!! na na na na na”
Geoff: “ohh .. it seems as if someone is playing a joke on me”
Brochure: “heheheeheh, yeah … someone is making fun of you!”
And on the conversation goes, until I realise that I am talking to a brochure.
