Goal 3 ) Go to a trivia night – CHECK!
On Saturday night hubby and I went to a Trivia Night at a local state school, fundraising for their school Chaplain. We had B1 babysat (yay for Grandparents!), so it was kinda a “date night” too. We enjoyed the company of a very lovely couple we know, and had a lot of laughs.
With 8 rounds x 10 questions (plus a few bonus questions), I knew that:
1) Stuart Diver was the sole survivor @ Thredbo
2) Port Arthur Massacre happened on 28 April, 1996
3) The lines parallel to the equator are latitude
I didn’t know:
1) Tiger Woods’ birth name was Eldrick
2) You can travel south to Canada from the city of Detroit
3) Lisa was the first female winner of Biggest Loser (Aus)
plus another 70odd questions 😀
BUT we didn’t come last! Our table tied with two other teams at 20th out of 30teams. My friend and I discovered that the two highschool girls on our table weren’t listening to our suggestions (or our husbands’) but were writing their own answers – and getting them RIGHT!! hehe oops 🙂
It was a great night out – lots of laughs and something different to what we usually do. This is the one of the reasons that I’ve also put Goal 5) Go to the drive-in into my challenge, because it’s something that I’ve never done but always wanted to do.
I find it so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day happenings, that I have to make time to go out with hubby, or do things that aren’t just “routine” (or “cause I have to” or “cause I should”). Reminds me of last January when I left my 11month old at home with hubby and met a good friend at the Pancake Manor in the city from 10pm-2am for Pancakes, after deciding on facebook at 9:30pm it would be fun. It was TOTALLY out of character for me but just what I needed (what can I say, I’d had a stressfulday?!).
