Being transformed by the renewing of our minds …

Geoff and I went shopping a while ago with Scott and Jo in the city. We went into Myer to look for a glass plate to replace one that Scott had broken, belonging to a friend of theirs. Whilst we were in there, low and behold, I spotted the coolest looking COW MUG!!! AND it was HUGE! It was close to competing with my “Milka” cow mug from Germany which I use most mornings for my cup of tea (thanks Michaela!)…
Geoff offered to buy it for me with his spending money, so of course, I jumped at the idea! But then, he offered to half it with me! What? I wasn’t going to spend $6.50 of my money, when he had already offered to buy it for me!?! (It was $12.95) So I said, that’s okay, I don’t really need it. So he gave in and said he would buy it for me.
When we went to the register, it scanned at 7.95 and we got 20% off… so he only ended up paying $6.36 for it anyway!
Yesterday Geoff convinced me to make him some custard slice (one of his favourites). Only problem was, Coles didn’t have any Lattice Biscuits. So we decided to try something new as a base/top – puff pastry! It all seemed to go well, until I tried to get the second puff pastry off the tray – it was stuck! So Geoff scraped off as much as he could. Then all went as usual… until we went to eat some.
Let’s just say, it was a little …. sloppy?
Here is a photo from Ignite, the Youth Camp for our church youth group, Infusion!
I have to say, everyone has such wonderful dress sense!

I have FROGS!!! There are currently 4 green tree frogs, and more on the way!
These are from the 2nd and 3rd bunch of tadpoles I got.
Here are some photos of my little green tree frogs!
Other news: Originally we thought that only 1 of the first lot of tadpoles had survived the terribly cold weather we had back in July, (and had even sometimes struggled to find it in the pond!) however before going camping I had a squiz in the pond, only to find 2 giant tadpoles!!! I was shocked – all this time we had thought there was only one! We are not sure what type of frog they will be, but they are starting to get legs.
Funny Story!
Last night, Geoff was up working late so I went to bed. He was still using the fan though, so he said he would bring it in when he comes to bed. I woke up at 2:15am stinking hot and couldn’t get back to sleep. Geoff was stirring, so I asked him to jump up and get the fan.
As I lay there, I could hear dragging sounds, and he was taking forever. So I say, “what are you bringing in a whole desk to put it on?”. And I get some mumbled reply, like “you asked me to”. So I sat and watched, trying to see the white frame of the fan he was dragging in, but after a while I could begin to make out a black frame.. and some handles… so I say, “what are you doing?”.
He replies, “I’m bringing you the exercise bike”.
I laugh.
“But I want the FAN!”
I think… What on earth am I meant to do with an exercise bike at 2:30 in the morning!!!??? (Tania and Corienne would know that I’m not a fan of morning exercise!)
So he brought in the fan, and I tried to sleep, however everytime I tried to sleep I just thought of him bringing in the bike and laughed. But a little sleep depravation was worth it – 10 funnies sweetheart!
Tadpole Update: One of my little green tree frog tadpoles now has arms as well as legs, so when he swims he no longer uses his tail like before but swims like a frog!!!
Well, since it has been a whole 7 days since one of the boys has blogged, I feel it to be my duty to blog so that you all are not bored to tears from this site. I don’t know about you, but I get disappointed when I open up a blog and nothing has changed since I last looked.
Geoff’s excuses are, “but there is nothing to blog about” or “I don’t have time to blog”, but I think they are lame! Even Jonny’s “studying 4 exams” blog somehow managed to get 10 comments…
So what has been happening… Geoff has been working working working, lots lots lots. In his spare time, he has been researching in preparation to buy a new computer (yay!) sometime after Christmas, if this one will last that long.
He has also been spending time looking after some Orchids that he got from his Grandad.
I have been up to lots of little random things. This morning, I spent time trying to catch my big tadpole in my pond, but because of all the rain the water was all murky cause dirt got in there, so I couldn’t find it. But it was fun anyway. I’ll get you a pic soon – I promise!
I also spent time watching Pride & Prejudice (the REAL one), cleaning, folding, writing Christmas cards to our neighbours and deciding upon which Tupperware to buy at my party on Monday night. (Geoff is going to come to the party too! hehe)
Jo and I went shopping yesterday to spend the money our husbands were earning. We had Baskin Robbins… Yummm…
Why, that is a very interesting poll !! Funnily enough, I don’t remember it having any references at all to Mr Darcy a couple of days ago… How Bizarre 😉
Well… what has been happening in the world of this lonesome female? My little baby is growing up… He has nearly doubled in size in the past 2 months, and his legs are forming well… (so I believe). His skin is a beautiful brown colour, not too tanned. He is a little playful too, although can be shy around strangers. I’ll keep you posted…
Well, neither of the boys have blogged in a few days, so I may as well fill you in. Geoff hasn’t been up to much. I get home from yet another 7hr long day at uni today, to find Geoff having spent the day reading, cooking, eating and playing computer games. Now he is off at his “wild x-box party” (Thanks for babysittin nath! I’ll pay you later).
And what has been happening in the world of Jonny you ask?
Well, thats a very interesting question…
And I’d be happy to tell you the answer…
But I won’t. I’ll make you wait.
Until later…Toodles!
