Setting the scene:
Last night I stood next to the passengers door and waited for Hubby to beep the door unlocked.
He just looked at me: “uh, you have the key”
My response:”oh dear, this may take a while”
*starts emptying contents of mummy-bag onto the bonnet of the car* (as depicted)….
P.S. Duplicates were removed so you could actually see what was in there. Yes, there were 2 baby foods, 2 pairs of sunnies… etc.
P.P.S. In case you were wondering, the square thing is a tape-measure (never leave home without one!).
P.P.P.S Yes, that’s a padlock attached to the handle of my bag. Yes it was from a Happy Meal. I’ve lost count of how many years its been there, but it wasn’t from my kids.
What ‘special’ items do you keep in your mummy-bag???

Men never understand how much stuff we carry around but they don’t complain when we have some obscure thing they need 🙂
My bag gets cleaned out often so I don’t have any surprises. That’ll change with a newborn again I’m sure!
Im currently in the process of shopping for a smaller bag, so that i stop collecting so many ‘special’ things. 🙂
Oh my that is a great selection in your bag. Mine is bad too and my list includes a camera,
That’s impressive! I still carry a nappy bag, but when I manage to escape, I keep it to the bare essentials. Glasses, phone, keys, wallet. Visiting from WW.
Thankfully it has been a long time since I’ve had to carry around a ‘mummy-bag’. Just an ordinary handbag does the trick these days and so long as there is room for my keys, purse, phone and chapstick, I’m all set!
I can never fiond my keys in my bag either!!
I’m impressed! I would expect. Whole lot more junk, surely you’ve had a recent clean out? Or mabe Im just more of a junk magnet… The padlock is cute hehe
Too Funny!! My hubby reckons that my bags get bigger everytime I buy one 🙂
my handbags always break before i get a chance to clean them out. Too heavy lol Its amazing what gets dumped in my bag!
Some bag – Mary Poppins indeed.
